In Memory of Quincy

Dec 2004 – June 2015

Today we lost our beloved Maltese, Quincy. It was very sudden and unexpected, although, even if one’s best friend has been sick for a long time, it’s still devastating.
Quincy adopted my husband & me in September 2009. We had another Maltese, Ollie, who was so lonely after losing his friend, Reggie we decided to adopt another fur baby for him. We brought home Quincy.
Needless to say, after a few weeks, Quincy & Ollie became best friends, in spite of the age difference.
When our Ollie passed in 2012, we were devastated, and Quincy was alone and needed a fur buddy. Then came Rudy, a much younger dog, but Quincy quickly became his mentor. Quincy was always very shy and reserved by nature. It wasn’t until the last few years that he would let me touch his paws or showed us what he wanted by barking or running toward the lazy boy chair, his favorite place to relax. He bonded closely with all of us, and he was a joy to love. He was always the serious dog, not wanting to play with noisy toys, but he would have his own way of playing by rolling in the backseat of the car when we went for rides. He would always give us a gentle kiss on our hand, if the mood struck him. And he would always share HIS lazy boy chair with Mommy in the evening before bedtime. We all love you so much Quincy and and we will always miss you, as you were a very special little guy.
