Guinness was truly man’s best friend; one of the happiest and lovable dogs there could ever be. She was a great watch dog when she sensed trouble, yet she was friendly toward people she knew and trusted. She was no trouble at all at home.
All she wanted was to be petted and hugged, and fed. Boy did she like to be fed. And she was always happy, especially doing her favorite things: going for a walk outside, or a ride in the car where she could hang her head out the window, or sitting in front of the fireplace watching the flames.
Mostly though she just liked being around me and my friends, sleeping on the floor in the living room or sunning herself out on the deck. She was at her happiest when she knew she was with the people who loved her.
I miss her ever so much.
